Vivo V9 launch date in India: Likely priced at Rs 24,000, iPhone X-style notch, dual rear cameras main highlights

Vivo V9 launch date in India:  After teasing for a long time, the smartphone, Vivo V9, is set to be launched in India. It will be launched in India today, .i.e. on March 23, 2018, at an event in Mumbai. The price of the device has not been released but it is speculated that the Vivo V9 will be priced Rs 24,000.  The aforementioned price is based on the price tag leaked by an Indonesian online retailer, which is 999,000 Indonesian rupiah. Earlier this week a report by IANS, citing industry sources, said that the Vivo V9 could be priced at Rs 25,000 in India.

Vivo V9, whose selfie camera is backed by features like AI Face beauty and AR stickers, carries iPhone X style notch and dual cameras on the rear. Of the two cameras, the primary sensor is of 16 megapixel and the second sensor is on 5 megapixels, powered by a dedicated AI chip. Metal frame with curved glass in the rear panel is the main highlight of the device. 

The front camera of the smartphone Vivo V9 is of 24-megapixel selfie camera and is paired with facial recognition technology. 

Before being launched in India, the smartphone has been officially launched in selected Southeast Asian markets like Thailand and Philippines (maybe launched today). Its display is similar to the recently announced Vivo X21. At present, it is available in two colours, Gold and Black Ceramic.

Specifications and Features 
The specifications and features of the smartphone are not officially available but some leaks suggest that Vivo V9 will sport a 6.3-inch edge-to-edge fullHD+ display with a resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels and aspect ratio of 19:9 with an iPhone X-inspired notch on top. Its full view display comes with 90 percent screen-to-body ratio. 

It is reported that the Android smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 octa-core processor with Adreno 506 GPU and is coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage, which is expandable up to 256GB with a help of a microSD card. 

On the part of the battery, the smartphone is backed by a 3,260mAh non-removable battery. When it comes to connectivity than it will be supporting connectivity options like 4G Volte, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, Wi-Fi, FM radio, USB OTG, 3.5mm audio jack and a MicroUSB 2.0 port. 

Note: The Chinese smartphone maker has listed the smartphone, Vivo V9, on Amazon India and the pre-booking of the device is expected to start with the launch on March 23, 3018.
