Benefits that was offered to Jio Prime subscribers
- Free unlimited data and voice services for one year
- Special recharge plans with additional data and validity
- Free access to Jio app suite including JioTV and more. Jio App Suite included music and content like movies and videos for free with Jio apps.
- Free VoLTE-based voice calls to any network, even on roaming with no blackout days either.
Why was Prime Membership rolled out?
Reliance Jio, which shook the telecommunication sector of India by offering an affordable data-centric network, offered the Prime Membership benefits to retain subscribers as the company moved from free to paid services. Jio Prime Subscription was announced in February 2017.
Earlier, at the time of its official launch, Reliance Jio was offering freebies for more than six months.
While there are no news updates so far from Reliance Jio, expectations are that the telco will soon make a big announcement to retain this massive customer base.
