Income Tax returns: Free tax-filing platform launched! Gets 50,000 sign-ins

Income Tax returns: India's largest online marketplace for financial products Paisabazaar.com has announced that it has received nearly 50,000 registrations in August on its new income tax-filing platform, which is currently in beta phase. The platform had also launched an incentive campaign for tax filers, with lucky draw winners to be rewarded with 5 smart TVs, 100 Bluetooth headsets and more. The campaign was introduced to promote tax filing before August 31 deadline, extended from July 31.

The platform is in partnership with 129 financial services players including banks, NBFCs, digital lenders and mutual fund houses. It currently offers more than 300 financial products on its platform to meet all consumer borrowing and investment needs. It had introduced the beta version of the tax filing platform for its customers in June.

The platform said that it will continue to make the process of income tax return filing more simple over the next few months.
