The BSE Sensex and 50-share Nifty traded range-bound for whole Thursday trading session.
On account of weak global economic outlook and the dollar index gaining by around 0.25 per cent, the BSE Sensex and 50-share Nifty traded range-bound for whole Thursday trading session. the BSE Sensex scaled 86 points to 36,195 levels while the 50-share Nifty went up by 18 points to 10,849 levls. Linde India, IndiGo, Oberoi Realtynavkar CorporationsUjjivan Financial shares were the top gaining stock while KPIT Tech, HEG Ltd., Jyothi Laboratories, Graphite India and Deepak Fertilisers were the top losing stocks on Thursday.
Shares of realty major Godrej Properties scaled 3.53 per cent up, HD Infra stocks went northward by around 2.42 per cent but show stopper of the real estate stock was Oberoi Realty that jumped 6.66 per cent on Thursday. Energy majors HPCL and IOCL shot up by more than half a per cent while Jindal Drilling and Industries went up by 3.45 per cent. After correction on Wednesday Reliance Industries stocks gained momentum on thursday logging 1.65 per cent gains today. IT major Infosys went northward by more than half a per cent while KPIT Tech went down by more than 40 per cent. Shares of MphasisS went up by 2.36 per cent while MindTree sharres went up by around 1 per cent.
Commenting upon the market trends Simi Bhaumik, Technical Equity Analyst (registered with the market regulator SEBI) told Zee Business online, "The market is trading range bound. Nifty is moving in the range of 10,800 to 10,950 levels." Bhaumik advised equity investors to buy on dips. she advised traders to look at some blue chip stocks like McDowell, Pidilite and Reliance Industries as these stock look prominent in both short-term and mid-term perspective.

At Asian bourses, Japan's Nikkei nudged down by 0.09 per cent to 20,574 levels, Shanghai index went up by 0.41 per cent to 2,591 mark, Hang Seng index went northward by around 0.42 per cent to 27,120 levels while Koran Kospi scaled by 0.81 per cent to 2,145 mark.
In US markets at Wall Street, all three major US equity indexes closed in positive territory, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average booking the largest gains on upbeat quarterly results from International Business Machines and other major firms. The S&P 500 gained 0.22 per cent.
