Earlier on Friday, April 12, 2019, despite trading in a narrow range for the first half, the markets witnessed a surge in the second half and closed on a positive note. Nifty 50 closed up by 46.75 points at 11,643.45 while BSE Sensex was up by 160.10 points at 38,767.11 levels.
Similarly, Bank Nifty went up by 152.45 points to settle at 29,938.55. GAIL was the top gainers of the day and were up by 3.71% while ITC and Maruti Suzuki were up by 3.68% and 2.23 per cent respectively.

The small and medium day range for trading on Nifty lies between 11,600-11,680 and 11,575-11,710. The extreme range for trading stands at 11,550-11,750.
The small and medium day range for trading on Bank Nifty lies between 29,850-30,050 and 29,800-30,175. The extreme range for trading stands at 29,650-30,250.
